“Everything comes to you at the right time, be patient and trust the process,” are the wise words of Melusi Mncwengo, who describes how he actively searched for employment for 4 years until he came across the #YESProgramme offered by Signa Opportunity.
This bright young man never took “No” for an answer and persevered to find employment. Melusi has a Diploma in Computer-based Graphic Development and with the help of the college’s work placement team, he was able to enter the workforce.
“I am so blessed to have received 12 months of workplace experience in my chosen field of study, which is graphic design, he explains. “I have received practical hands-on experience and am so grateful towards Signa and my sponsor, Cellfind, for the opportunity to get my foot into the door and prove my worth.”
Melusi’s hard work and work ethic have not gone unnoticed, as he has been absorbed and holds a permanent position within the company. “Looking back, all of the waiting was worth it!”, he explains. Melusi’s plans for the future include continuing to learn and practice his craft and being an instrumental member of the Marketing team and plans to pay the #PowerofOne forward by telling everyone about Signa and how they are giving the youth hope for the future.
